To all budding bankers, here is your chance to test your skill.

“The Deal” is an Asia Pacific competition for students graduating in 2008 or 2009, which is based on a large merger and acquisition case study. The Deal is complex and thoroughly absorbing – exactly like the real thing.

Prizes:

The winning teams will share prize money of USD 1,000 for the University Champions, with a further USD 2,000 for the Country Champions and a further USD 2,000 for the Asia Pacific Champions. The Country Championships for China will be held in Hong Kong and The Country Championships for Australia in Sydney. The Asia Pacific final and award ceremony will be in Hong Kong; if you don’t already live in the venue city for the finals, JPMorgan fly you in and put you up at a hotel.

This is a fantastic chance to tackle interesting problems and get mentoring, advice and first-hand feedback from JPMorgan bankers who do this on a day-to-day basis.

Each year, leading Investment Banks in Australia host a ‘Women in Investment Banking’ event.  The purpose of the event is for women to discover more about what a career in investment banking can offer.  On the night, women from leading banks will speak about the investment banking industry and representatives in attendance allow women to ask all the important questions.
