FMAA 2008 – The New Team!

Research Analyst/Associate

Group Description/ Role outline (type of activities recruit is likely to perform)

1. Delivering Research on:

  • Equities of Sydney companies;
  • Industry sectors in which the companies assigned for coverage operate.
  • Any other assets assigned by the head of the function.

2. Proactively generating investment ideas on stocks and industry sector, as well as thematic investment ideas.

3. Formulating detailed valuation models on stocks using Credit Suisse proprietary quantitative valuation tool.

4. Promptly assessing financial impact of specific news flow on a company of an industry

Training

There are two components to the training within Private Banking: A formal training and development program designed and delivered by some of the most skilled professionals in the financial service industry as well as our own Credit Suisse Relationship Managers and product specialists, supplemented with on-the-job learning. During your tailor-made global training program you will train with peers from all over the world and sit for your regulatory exams. You will start with a global company orientation to learn about Credit Suisse and how we operate. The Private Banking Training Program itself aims to prepare you to successfully perform on the job. You will be provided with an in-depth overview of the products and services provided by Private Banking as well as the skills you need to launch, grow and manage your own business and to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships. You will also be assigned a mentor to help you through the program and support you with your integration. A number of networking opportunities throughout the program will allow you to network with senior management and establish cross-divisional relationships also. A rigorous performance management process will ensure you are clear on your objectives and development points on a regular basis throughout the program.

Qualifications

Interested candidates must be a final year student and have a strong interest in building a career in Australia. A general interest and knowledge of the Australian Economy and Market is required.
